I have searched for years for good books on a wide variety of healing techniques. The best book I have found so far on medical chi kung or qigong is by far "Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy" by Jerry Alan Johnson. You can find reviews and buy it at the following link:

http://www.fivebranches.edu/faculty/electadv.aspI have been using his book and DVDs for over a year now and have found them to produce good and consistent results. Some things I read seemed a bit far out, but the proof is in the results not the descriptions n'est pas? On this strange journey I have found many treasures in what I first dismissed as nonsense. I urge you to not be to attached to what you think cannot be, or to what you think you already know. Unfortunately I have found that an open mind is not a natural state for most of us. Just as we have to stretch our muscles before a workout so must we stretch our minds before a worthwhile journey. As Will Rodgers once said, " It is not what you know that will hurt you. It is what you know that ain't so," Our quest for real knowledge is most limited by our commitment to our past understanding. There is a martial arts saying that, " We train today to defeat yesterdays understanding."
