Dog Walking Qi Gong

I often do this qi gong exercise while walking my dog, Barran, which is why I call it “Dog Walking Qi Gong. It is very healing and strengthening for me. You can do it walking or sitting or even reclining. The key is to do it often and for at least 10 to 30 minutes. Many of you who try this exercise and do it often will be very pleased with the results, inshAllah.

1- First you make your intention clear, that being to place yourself in alignment with the Universal Energy Field or the Unity of All Things or God or the Universe or whatever name you like to give it. You can for instance say and mean and feel things like, “I am one with Heaven and Earth”. You can also say for instance, “I am in the Universe. The Universe is in my body. The Universe and I combine together.”
2- Now feel the top of your head and the space above and around the top of your head. As you inhale invite the most beautiful, loving, nourishing and healing Heaven energy to flow down through the top of your head through Bai Hui down through the center channel (a flow of energy that runs through the center of your body from the top of your head to the area between your anus and your sex organ Called the perineum) into you lower abdomen about two inches below your bellybutton. This area is called lower dan tien.  As you exhale see and feel the nourishing Sky energy as it flows through your whole body (including your energy body that goes beyond your skin) like a gentle explosion, loving, healing nourishing, and strengthening your whole being.
3-  Move your awareness to the bottom of your feet. Feel the bottoms of your feet. Feel the earth beneath the bottom of your feet. As you inhale invite the most loving, beautiful, nourishing, healing, and strengthening Earth energy to flow into your feet, up your legs and into your lower dan tien.  As you exhale feel and know that the Earth energy is flowing from your dan tien like a gentle explosion through your whole body. It loves, nourishes, heals and strengthens as it flows all the way through and out your skin and into your energy field surrounding your physical body.
4- Repeat the pattern. Observe that as you inhale the Heaven qi flows effortlessly down through the top of your head into the center channel and down into your lower dan tien. As you exhale notice and feel how the Sky energy explodes gently out of your lower dan tien and flows through your whole being.
5- Repeat the pattern. As you inhale notice the Earth qi flowing into your feet and up your legs and into your lower dan tien. As you exhale notice and feel the Earth qi as it gently explodes from your lower dan tien and flow effortlessly out through your whole being.
6- When you are comfortable doing “Dog Walking Qi Gong you can do this next step. As you inhale imagine the Sky qi flowing down your center channel to your lower dan tien and at the same time, Earth qi flowing up into your feet and up your legs to your lower dan tien. Feel or imagine Sky and Earth qi alchemically mixing in your lower dan tien. As you exhale know, feel and imagine the fusion of Sky and Earth qi gently exploding and disbursing through your whole body being energizing, healing and strengthening you. Repeat the pattern as long as you desire. I recommend at least twenty minutes. But do as you see fit.

One Hand Near One Hand Far Healing Technique.

One Hand Near One Hand Far is a very powerful healing technique developed by a chi kung master named Dr Zia Gang Sha. You can find more about him by clicking the tiltle of this entry and it will take you there. I posted this information a couple of years ago but I think it is time to do it again. Start by being aware of the lower dan tien. Move your awareness from lower dan tien to the laboring Palaces. If you have a place in your body that hurts or needs help place one of your hands, we will call this hand the near hand, about 4 to 7 inches away from the painful area. Point your first two fingers of that hand at the painful area. Imagine that energy is flowing from your lower dan tien to the Laboring Palace of the near hand. Then guide the chi from laboring palace out through the two pointing fingers into the area in your body being treated. This is One hand Near. Now take the other hand which we will call the far hand, and place it about 12 to 20 inches from your lower dan tien. Aim ...

Congratulations You Did It!!!

I say this to you my student/teacher/brother. You are of the Hawk and Crow People now. The Hawk and the Crow fly with you, now and forever. I salute you my brother. I salute your courage and determination. Congratulations. I celebrate and sing this song. My student/warrior/friend is out of the hospital and eating. His story can be found in my blog sections "When Pain Comes Try This." and "You Can Cower In The Corner Or You Can Stand And Fight." When he was faced with his own fear and pain and uncertainty he chose to stand and fight. When you must chose, chose to stand and fight. Remember we are never alone. Remember that and smile. He has passed one of his initiations with honor and pride. Many others are doing the same even as you read these words. Let all the warriors of the Heaven and the Earth who stand and fight with honor and determination give you courage and strength when you need it most. Remember, you are not alone and smile. A new adventure now opens to...

In Search of the Miraculous. Chinese Medicine

Remember, God treats you like you treat your lover. Being a good lover is the highest form of humanity as far as I am concerned.Sometimes being a good lover means letting go of each other. Such is life. Before I share the first chi kung exercise it is important to understand a couple of fundamental differences that separate Chinese and the western medicine. I am going to be a bit repetitious but as they say " Education is repetition." Western medicine understands and relates to a human being as a physical/psychological/social organism. Chinese medicine understands and relates to a human being as a radiating field of energy that exists in and as a series of interrelated fields of energy all of which exists in an all encompassing field of energy. A human being has a physical/psychological/social manifestation but the key in Chinese medicine is the energy field not the manifestations of the field. If the energy field is strong and balanced health will manifest. If it is not...
